At Jay Carlson Photography, we love witnessing the bond you hold dear with your family.  Our portraits make these, all-too-fleeting moments forever memories.

We specialize in creating custom portraits featuring your family.  We combine our love of art, a visionary style and a commitment to ensure that your portraits will truly be custom designed just for you.

There are four steps in creating your custom portraits.  Portrait design session, portrait session, portrait viewing, and your finished portrait delivery.

Portrait Design Session: Our first step in having your portrait created is for us to schedule a portrait design session. This is our opportunity to get to know you, learn more about your family and your lifestyle. At this time we will customize and plan every detail of your portrait session. We will discuss our different styles of photography, offer suggestions for your attire, and decide the best time of day for your chosen location. Together, we will plan the best way to decorate your home with your personalized fine art portrait.  Once you have had your portrait design session, you will be fully prepared for your portrait session and you'll have an understanding of the investment involved.

Portrait Session: With the planning session now behind you, we will set about capturing portrait images that truly reflect your personality and the love you share for your family.  We will take as much time as necessary to capture your treasured moments. 

Portrait Viewing Session: After our portrait session, we will meet again for your viewing in the comforts of your home.  You will see the results from the session come alive.  We carefully edited and prepared the best images and will guide you through the process.  The images will be presented with our innovative projection system to aid you in your selections.  Here you’ll understand that they are not just images but works of fine art you will cherish forever.

Portrait Delivery: Once your order is placed, the portraits are hand crafted by us, custom printed and carefully framed.  Your finished portraits will be ready to display within four to six weeks.  At this time we will deliver and hang your finished portraits, allowing you to enjoy your moments captured by Jay Carlson for years to come.
